Conference Location:
University College at University of Toronto
15 Kings College Circle

Note:
The conference takes place at University College at University of Toronto. The street address is 15 Kings College Circle, Toronto, ON M5S 3H7, which can be accessed from College Street by taking King’s College Road (the bricked road which leads from the stone pillars at College Street north to University College). As you drive up the road, University College is the large stone building directly in front of you to the north. King’s College Circle can also be accessed from the east by taking Wellesley Street across Queen’s Park. Because University College is basically in the middle of campus, and you may come at it from several different directions depending on where you come from, we recommend you use Google maps or a map app on your smartphone to help you get there.

Accessibility:

The main accessible entrance to University College is up from the parking area at the north end of the college. A slope upwards leads to the inner courtyard, where there is a ramp leading under the colonnade to a powered door. A second powered door leads into Croft Chapter House at the south-west corner of the building. This entrance is for this room only, and does not provide general building access. For more information on access, go here. All sessions will take place on the first floor of the building, which is wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom. (Note: The elevator in UC is currently out of service, so the rest of the floors are not accessible, but none of the sessions are there.)

Public Transit TTC:

From Museum Subway Station: Museum Station is the closest subway station to the College. After exiting the station, walk south along the west side Queen’s Park Crescent, turn right onto Hoskin Avenue, then turn left (west) onto Tower Road which will lead you past a soccer field and bring you to the north side of University College.

From the St. George Subway Station: walk south on St. George St. to Hoskin Avenue (a continuation of Harbord Street), walk east to Tower Road (across from Trinity College), turn south. You will see University College.
From Queen’s Park Station: walk west on College Street to King’s College Road (just beyond the lights at McCaul), walk north following the circle to the top where you will find University College.

The Wellesley bus, leaving from the Ossington and/or Wellesley and Castle Frank subway stations, stops at Tower Road and Hoskin Avenue at Trinity University. From there turn south and you will see University College.

Getting there by Car:

Driving directions from west of Toronto (Getting to the University of Toronto from the QEW):

If you are on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) eastbound towards Toronto from the west, continue to downtown Toronto. If you are on Hwy 401 eastbound towards Toronto from the west, turn south onto Hwy 427 after you pass the airport and follow the signs to the QEW. Then take the QEW east to downtown Toronto. The QEW turns into the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto. As you approach downtown Toronto, you will see the CN Tower – the second tallest free standing structure on earth – directly ahead of you. Soon after you pass the CN Tower, take the Yonge-York-University exit (which is the exit after Spadina). Go north on York Street until it meets University Avenue. Continue north on University Avenue, until you reach College Street. At this point, you should go east on College Street, but you are not allowed to make a left turn. So continue about 50 meters north on University Avenue until you reach the start of Queen’s Park Circle. At this point, you are allowed to make a U-turn and come back south on University Avenue. When you get back to the intersection with College Street, turn right (east) and drive one block (pass one light) west on College Street to King’s College Road. At this point you can enter the campus by turning right (north) onto King’s College Road, where you can park, or continue east on College for another block (one set of lights) to St. George street. You can turn right (north) on St. George street and continue two blocks (two sets of lights) to Harbord St turn right (east). There is street parking available.

Driving directions from east of Toronto (Getting to the University of Toronto from Bloor Street):

If you are coming from the east towards Toronto on Hwy 401, turn south onto the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) after Victoria Park Avenue. Take the DVP south to Bloor Street. Drive west on Bloor Street until you reach St. George. Turn left onto St. George Street and drive south until you reach Harbord Street. There is street parking available. UTAC is located in the north wing of University College (right across the back campus). Alternatively continue straight (south) on St. George St until you get to College St. Turn left (east) again onto College Street and drive one block east to King’s College Road. Turn left (north) onto King’s College Road. At this point you can enter the campus by turning right (north) onto King’s College Road, where you can park.

Driving directions from north of Toronto:

If you are driving south on Hwy 427 from north of Toronto, follow the driving directions from west of Toronto after you pass Hwy 401. If Arriving by Air:

Please check your carrier’s website for information about check-in times, baggage allowances and more.  We recommend arriving approximately 2-3 hours prior to your flight when crossing the border. Please do remember your passport if you’re traveling to Toronto from outside of Canada. For more information about international travel, go here.
Transportation from Airport:
Taxis are easy to get at the airport, and typically cost approximately $50 (not including gratuities) from the airport to all downtown locations.
